Try Hard Productions creates content for the web, broadcast and screen.

Dave Gaw is the founder and president of Try Hard Productions. Over the last decade, Dave has established himself as a creative storyteller that is comfortable and skilled in both the commercial and motion picture industries.

In the commercial arena, Dave has produced and directed spots, episodic projects and viral videos for the likes of Sanyo, Taco Bell, Hilton Hotels and many others. For each, he has been able to gauge client and audience needs and develop creative content that can be leveraged across multi-dimensional campaigns – both online and offline.

Dave started Try Hard Productions after serving as Director of Online Video at ClearChannel, where he developed and implemented online video campaigns for Burger King, McDonalds and many others. Prior to Clear Channel, Dave was a part of the original team that pioneered Hollywood Press TV , an entertainment news channel that quickly established themselves as red carpet regulars throughout LA and New York. Both outlets became a favorite interview of celebrities seeking visibility tied to authentic, creative conversations and was recently sold to REELZ Channel.

Dave is also an emerging, award-winning director of film. His mockumentary short, Try Hard, was honored for Best Comedy and Best Screenplay at the 168 Film Festival (Los Angeles), and he’s currently developing this film into a feature-length project.

Having studied business and film in college, Dave has managed to weave his storytelling talents with his business savvy to create effective commercial and creative campaigns alike.

Production Services
We offer all services from concept to production to delivery. If all you have is a rough idea for a video, we can meet you at the beginning and partner with you to help tell your story or market your product/service. We can team up to help flesh out the idea, develop the concept, storyboard it, cast it, find the locations, provide the crew and the gear, shoot it, edit it, animate it, create the music and deliver the video in whatever format you need. In addition, if you only need help in certain aspects of your video production, we also offer a la carte services as well, such as scripting or post-production.

Commercials
Whether you want something for broadcast or online distribution, we can produce your commercial. From concept to creation, we can help you tell a story in roughly 30 seconds.

Social Media
If you are looking for a clever way to market your product or service, this is our specialty, especially if you are looking for something clever or humorous. We produced a series of promotional interviews for the Tony Award Winning Musical, Avenue Q, which has reached several hundred thousand views online.

Promotional Videos
If you’ve got a business, nonprofit or product and you need to tell your story in 3-minutes or less, we can shoot it. We’ve produced videos like this for all types of businesses including humanitarian groups, medical facilities, wineries, corporations, churches, etc. Every story is different and every story matters.We want to learn about your business or organization and help you tell your story. We are a business too, and we love to learn about what you do and help you tell others.

Product Demos/Tutorials

If you have a specific product or service that requires a video companion piece, we can do that. Whether its a video FAQ for your site, or just a how-to video to help sell your product or service, we can produce just about anything you can think of on location, in studio or on green screen.

Documentaries
We have produced several short documentaries in various subjects. Here’s a small piece from a documentary we shot in India, chronicling the efforts of Harvest India, a humanitarian group that helps rescue orphans, prostitutes and other outcasts.
